A Wedding!

On the 8th of August I shot the most perfect wedding. The Bride wasn't nervous at all.
She was very excited and had so many ideas of her own.
Here are a few of my favourites from the day :o)

I asked the Bride if she could have the rings before the wedding so I could get a few detailed shots of them.

Her Bouquet was simple but absolutely breathtaking. With tiny gems in the centre of her cream Roses. Wow!

I just love how they are both looking down but facing each other here, and the confetti in her hair adds such a sweet touch.

The Bride wanted the Hotel's water feature in her photographs, how could I say no?!
While we were at the water feature, I spotted a huge rock.
My goodness they look so hot on that rock don't they?!
I LOVE IT!

One of the last shots I got of the Bride just before they were called into dinner.
So beautiful!

Their cake was stunning!

I am so pleased I captured this fun shot of Mum hiding a Beer under her hat haha.
It just makes me smile everytime I look at it.
Doesn't she looking amazing!

And, as an extra special touch to their wedding album, I shot the moon on the night of their wedding.
I'm such a romantic :o)

7 Day Photo Challenge - 1st to the 8th August

Well, I did another 7 day photo challenge and thoroughly enjoyed it!
My kids don't want to sit for me much these days, so, I have been having to step wayyyyy out of my comfort zone and shoot things other than portraits. I think it has been good for me though.

Day 1. Film Title "Cars"

Day 2. Transportation "Walk"

Day 3. Emotion "Sisterly love"

Day 4. Flower(s) "Rose"

Day 5. Blue "Topsy Turvy World"

Day 6. Back Yard "Secure"

Day 7. Your creative choice "It's a Boy!"
Having fun and getting "creative" with my white balance in-camera and, as I "created" these booties for my Grandson, I thought this was a perfect "creative choice" :o)

Whatever you are doing and whoever you are with, I hope you are having a great day :o)

One Month?!!!

That's how long it's been since I posted anything?! Then that must be how old my Grandson is! Oh my goodness how the time flies!

Good grief...in that one month I have shot a wedding, a Christening, joined my local photographic society and sold a print!

I didn't even post any pictures of my visit to meet my new Grandson!

I think I better start catching up with my news. There's probably going to be a good few days full of news to come in the next week or so :o)

Enjoy!

He was such a good boy agreeing to model one of Nanny's hats hehe.

However, I'm not entirely sure he was very impressed lol

Busy, Busy, Busy

I have been so busy these past few weeks and it looks like I am going to get even busier!

I have got hat orders coming out of my ears and I haven't even made them yet lol.
Mind you that's nice. It's a nice steady flow and I am really enjoying making them at this pace :o)

Horses

My hubby took me out today to get some shots of animals.
He found me some horses! Yay!

So, I get out of the car and start shooting.

I'm resting my camera on the corner of the gate to take these shots ...

... when I noticed one of the black horses, the one that appeared to have itchy butt syndrome, comes walking over to me.

It turns itself around and starts scratching it's butt on the very corner of the gate, that I had been resting my camera on!!! Ewwwww Yuck!!! I was literally pmsl

And then it walked off with the grey horse as if it was disgusted with me taking their photographs!

I showed my 5 year old son the film when I got home and he belly laughed, so hard and so loud, that he made me laugh! His laugh is so contagious.
He found this absolutely hilarious. I guess he has my sense of humour lol.

I hope you are all having a great day.

7 day photo frenzy - Part 2

Hi guys!
I am doing another 7 day photo frenzy and lovin' it! It's taking me out of my comfort zone. I guess I need a push every now and again to get off my butt and shoot other stuff!

Day 1. June 7th 2009 - "Your favorite drink"

Tea

I'm no good at product photography lol.
I just used my bedside lamp for my lighting on this. I thought the shadows looked pretty cool :o)
And it looks like my Tea has the spotlight haha.
I'm quite pleased with it actually!

Day 2. June 8th 2009 - "Nature"

The sky looked gorgeous this evening, plus, I love silhouette's :o)

Day 3. June 9th - "Happiness"

I have to confess, I never shot this on the 9th of June, and I am not in the habit of using archived files because I feel the whole point of the 7 day photo frenzy is to shoot a fresh pic every day.

But, my day got sucked up yesterday with dentists visits etc, so I didn't pick my camera up all day! *gasp!* lol

This picture screams happiness to me though!

Day 4. June 10th - "Hobbies"

Well, what did you expect really? lol

Day 5. June 11th - "Sleep"

Ok so I am using a file from January. I'm not sure where my days go!

Day 6. June 12th - "Macro"

Who needs fancy macro equipment when you have a Canon SX110 IS! lol
Both my hobbies shot and my Dandelion were shot with that camera. The macro function on it is amazing!
(Thanks DDK).

Day 7. June 13th - "My creative choice"

I went into the garden with our 110 IS again. My daughter spotted this fly.
Ewww!!! I can't believe the detail that camera captures! You can see the hair on it's back!!!

Sports Day

My Son's Sports Day was this week. So, off I went with my camera in hand.
I was in my element getting close ups of my son's face while he was racing. He has such a big smile when he runs.

He spotted me as he ran past. So sweet!

He receives a sticker for 3rd place...

...and jogs away with such a proud smile on his face! Almost looking like a footballer who has just scored the winning goal. Bless him!

I caught sight of my daughter on a mound of grass and had to grab whatever shots I could. She looked so beautiful with the sunlight and breeze in her hair.

I sent a slideshow of the pictures to the school.
The kids loved it and so did the Teachers.
I seemed to be the talk of the school, with Teachers approaching me, praising me about the shots I got, which lifted my spirits to unbelievable heights.
I walked away from the school with a big smile on my face :o)

I hope you are having a positive and happy day too!
